This is such a great firming mask that aging movie stars have been identified to put it in the cups of their bras to make their breasts "perky." (Just check that you don't use too much honey and you use a sturdy bra.)

3. HONEY MASK: Apply uncontaminated honey (straight from the bottle) to your face and your neckline. Allow it to locate until dry (about 15 minutes). Rinse with very temperate hot water.

5 Simple Ways To Keep Your Mind Sharp

5 Simple Ways To Keep Your Mind Sharp

The importance of keeping your mind sharp cannot be overstated. We’re all part of a fantastic intellectual and information economy, which thrives on ideas, creativity and intelligence. Keeping your mind sharp is sure to give you the edge over the competition, and more importantly lead to your own higher levels of happiness.

When your mind is in top shape, you will:

1 Have greater motivation and focus

2 Get more done

3 Come up with more creative ideas

4 Find inspiration more often

5 Remember more

6 Experience a better life

I’d like to share a few practices I’ve found are extremely beneficial in keeping my mind sharp and can help you as well:
1) Continue reading, absorbing knowledge and experiencing culture
Sorry to use a clichéd quote, but education is not preparation for life, education is life itself. It should be something pleasurable and done for intrinsic reasons above all else. Read blogs on subjects both within your field and in new fields you know nothing about; read books; watch lectures on fascinating new subjects; read about ancient societies; take in a new form of art you’ve never experienced; you get the idea. Challenge your mind to continually broaden your horizon and soak up new information like an infinite sponge (that’s pretty much what it is, you should use it to do just that).
2) Learn a skill or craft you’ve never tried before like playing an instrument, composing music, painting, building a model airplane, or even coding computer programs.
Engage your mind in learning a new skill. You’re never too old to do this, but this is definitely something you should start as young as you can. I started composing my own music at around 17, and in retrospect I wish I had started even younger. You’d be surprised how much learning a new skill will open up many new paths in your mind and help you become even better at whatever you are already an expert at. You’ll also open yourself up to tons of new connections and intellectual social circles by engaging yourself in a new hobby, form of art, or trade.
3) To improve memory don’t write everything down.
If you can, try this for a week: write down everything you need to do at the beginning of the week, as you normally would, but take your list and put it out of sight. Instead of keeping that list visible at your desk, internalize your projects and simply remember and know what needs to be done, prioritize it in your mind, and do it. Your brain is extremely powerful and you’ll find that, in time, you may not have to write anything down to remember everything (you can still keep a list for reference, but it’s great not to need it).
4) Give your mind time to assimilate knowledge
We live in a culture where we are constantly experiencing and learning new things and taking in new information. This is a great thing, I’m not going to go into the information overload spiel, I don’t really believe in that anyway (you are in total control over how much information you take in at once). But in your process of absorbing new skills, knowledge and life experiences; internal analysis of yourself, what you have learned and where you are going is vital to put everything in proper perspective. Some people do it well during running, others through listening to music, and some people through making art. Find your own place that allows you to assimilate all you have learned and frequent it often.

5) Eat well, sleep well and exercise often
Giving your mind the proper rest and energy is essential to getting the best performance out of it. This one is pretty self explanatory, but people often forget that you need proper fuel and proper rest to function optimally. Also, putting your physical body through the paces is a surefire way to rejuvenate yourself mentally. If you’re ever feeling stressed, out of inspiration, or depressed, a few days of nutritious food, good sleep and vigorous exercise will put you back to your full self soon enough.

7 ways to keep your memory sharp at any age

7 ways to keep your memory sharp at any age

As we grow older, we all start to notice some changes in our ability to remember things.

Maybe you’ve gone into the kitchen and can’t remember why, or can’t recall a familiar name during a conversation. You may even miss an appointment because it slipped your mind. Memory lapses can occur at any age, but we tend to get more upset by them as we get older because we fear they’re a sign of dementia, or loss of intellectual function. The fact is, significant memory loss in older people isn’t a normal part of aging—but is due to organic disorders, brain injury, or neurological illness, with Alzheimer’s being among the most feared.

Most of the fleeting memory problems that we experience with age reflect normal changes in the structure and function of the brain. These changes can slow certain cognitive processes, making it a bit harder to learn new things quickly or screen out distractions that can interfere with memory and learning. Granted, these changes can be frustrating and may seem far from benign when we need to learn new skills or juggle myriad responsibilities. Thanks to decades of research, there are various strategies we can use to protect and sharpen our minds. Here are seven you might try.

1. Keep learning

A higher level of education is associated with better mental functioning in old age. Experts think that advanced education may help keep memory strong by getting a person into the habit of being mentally active. Challenging your brain with mental exercise is believed to activate processes that help maintain individual brain cells and stimulate communication among them. Many people have jobs that keep them mentally active, but pursuing a hobby or learning a new skill can function the same way. Read; join a book group; play chess or bridge; write your life story; do crossword or jigsaw puzzles; take a class; pursue music or art; design a new garden layout. At work, propose or volunteer for a project that involves a skill you don’t usually use. Building and preserving brain connections is an ongoing process, so make lifelong learning a priority.

2. Use all your senses

The more senses you use in learning something, the more of your brain will be involved in retaining the memory. In one study, adults were shown a series of emotionally neutral images, each presented along with a smell. They were not asked to remember what they saw. Later, they were shown a set of images, this time without odors, and asked to indicate which they’d seen before. They had excellent recall for all odor-paired pictures, and especially for those associated with pleasant smells. Brain imaging indicated that the piriform cortex, the main odor-processing region of the brain, became active when people saw objects originally paired with odors, even though the smells were no longer present and the subjects hadn’t tried to remember them. So challenge all your senses as you venture into the unfamiliar. For example, try to guess the ingredients as you smell and taste a new restaurant dish. Give sculpting or ceramics a try, noticing the feel and smell of the materials you’re using.

3. Believe in yourself

Myths about aging can contribute to a failing memory. Middle-aged and older learners do worse on memory tasks when they’re exposed to negative stereotypes about aging and memory, and better when the messages are positive about memory preservation into old age. People who believe that they are not in control of their memory function are less likely to work at maintaining or improving their memory skills and therefore are more likely to experience cognitive decline. If you believe you can improve and you translate that belief into practice, you have a better chance of keeping your mind sharp.

4. Economize your brain use

If you don’t need to use mental energy remembering where you laid your keys or the time of your granddaughter’s birthday party, you’ll be better able to concentrate on learning and remembering new and important things. Take advantage of calendars and planners, maps, shopping lists, file folders, and address books to keep routine information accessible. Designate a place at home for your glasses, purse, keys, and other items you use often. Remove clutter from your office or home to minimize distractions, so you can focus on new information that you want to remember.

5. Repeat what you want to know

When you want to remember something you’ve just heard, read, or thought about, repeat it out loud or write it down. That way, you reinforce the memory or connection. For example, if you’ve just been told someone’s name, use it when you speak with him or her: “So, John, where did you meet Camille?” If you place one of your belongings somewhere other than its usual spot, tell yourself out loud what you’ve done. And don’t hesitate to ask for information to be repeated.

6. Space it out

Repetition is most potent as a learning tool when it’s properly timed. It’s best not to repeat something many times in a short period, as if you were cramming for an exam. Instead, re-study the essentials after increasingly longer periods of time — once an hour, then every few hours, then every day. Spacing out periods of study is particularly valuable when you are trying to master complicated information, such as the details of a new work assignment. Research shows that spaced rehearsal improves recall not only in healthy people but also in those with certain physically based cognitive problems, such as those associated with multiple sclerosis.

7. Make a mnemonic

This is a creative way to remember lists. Mnemonic devices can take the form of acronyms (such as RICE to remember first-aid advice for injured limbs: Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation) or sentences (such as the classic “Every good boy does fine” to remember the musical notes E, G, B, D, and F on the lines of the treble clef).

1)
Eat
breakfast.
Breakfast
sets
your

for
the

People
who
eat
breakfast
end
up
eating

less
during
the
day
than
those
who
don’t.

2)
Take
your
breaks.
Breaks
=
peace

And
peace
of
mind
=
energy

Energy

productivity.
Need

more?

3)
Pack
your
lunch –
and
make
it
tasty
–
if
you
eat
things
that
don’t
taste
good
you
won’t
be
satisfied

and
you’ll
end
up
searching
for

4)
Eat

6)
Don’t

8)
Drink

At
3pm

9)
Nuts
make
great
office

They
are
full
of
protein
and
fat.
These
two
nutrients
help
sustain
your

energy
over
a
long
period
of
time.
When
you’re
energy
is
sustained,
you’ll
be
able
to
focus
and
be
more

productive.
A
high‐carbohydrate
snack,
like
crackers,
granola/breakfast
bars,
or
muffins
will
often
give

you
a
short
burst
of
energy…and
then
the
inevitable
crash…hence
the
need
for
that
third
cup
of
coffee.

10)
Fit
your
exercise
in
before
you
get
home
for
the
day.
Home
is
comfort.
If
you
get
home
after
a
very

long
day
at
the
office,
the
comfort
will
lure
you
in.
However,
it
is
the
exercise
that
will
make
you
feel

better,
not
the
couch.
I’ll
say
this
again
–
get
your
exercise
in
before
you
get
home
for
the
day.

Benefits of Aloe Vera

Benefits of Aloe Vera.

Aloe Vera: The Miracle Plant.

Everybody knows aloe vera is great for cuts and sunburns, even bug bites. It's been called the "First Aid" plant. Aloe vera's soothing gel inside the thick, succulent leaves is an incredible natural skin care "product." But what about the rest of the body: are there benefits for your insides too? Actually there are some very powerful benefits from the aloe vera plant. No one plant offers all the health benefits of the aloe vera plant.

Aloe vera is a semi-tropical succulent plant originally from North Africa, and now grown worldwide. It looks like a desert plant. Aloe vera is one of the oldest and most popular medicinal plants known to man. It's mentioned in ancient documents, including the New Testament, where it was used with other herbs for embalming!

What's In Aloe Vera That Makes It So Special & Valuable?.

The aloe vera plant is constructed with the basic building blocks of life, including essential vitamins and minerals, proteins, polysaccharides, enzymes, and amino acids. (Some people drink aloe vera for physical endurance and stamina, instead of energy drinks!) The bulk of the aloe vera leaf is filled with gel, which is approximately 99% water. The other 1% contains over at least 75 known nutrients including 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids, 200 active plan compounds called phytonutrients, enzymes and of course, water.

The Benefits of Aloe Vera.

Aloe vera's incredible effects upon the skin were "re-discovered" in the 70's and it became wildly popular. It's now used worldwide in just about every skin and hair care product imaginable. You see, aloe vera gel is an excellent skin moisturizer. It supplies oxygen to the skin cells which in turn increases the strength and synthesis of skin tissue. It rejuvenates the skin, hydrates it, and makes it flexible.

Aloe vera is a potent natural medicine - and there is more and more evidence to show its effectiveness in the treatment of some of the most serious diseases..

Did You Know?

Aloe vera is one of the most powerful antioxidants to occur naturally. Many of today's most common diseases have been associated with a deficiency of antioxidants. Your antioxidant level is capable of determining your biological age, and even your expected lifespan! So, is it any wonder why people are seeking aloe vera and products made with the aloe vera gel?

What Other Things Can Aloe Vera Do?

Following is a list of only some of the uses of aloe vera. The research is ongoing and there may be more to come. But right now the healing powers of the phenomenal aloe vera plant is undeniable.

1. Aloe vera is an antioxidant and cancer fighter, especially   colon cancer
2.Reduces and stops inflammation, both internally and  externally
3.Oxygenates blood and energizes cells, hydrates skin and repairs skin tissue
4.Aloe vera heals internal digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, acid reflux - cleanses the intestinal tract
5.Reduces risk factor for strokes and heart attacks by making "sticky" blood "unsticky," and boosts the oxidation of your blood, plus circulation
6.Alkalizes the body, helping to balance overly acidic dietary habits
7.Boosts cardiovascular performance and physical endurance
Stabilizes blood pressure and reduces triglycerides

There is undeniable evidence now from scientists and herbalists about the benefits of aloe vera³. They tell us only what our ancestors have known for centuries and passed on to succeeding generations. With today's technological advances, we know more about the dangers as well, and how to use aloe vera safely and effectively.

How To Choose the Best Aloe Vera Products..

1.Research different Aloe Vera products. Due to the increasing popularity of aloe vera, demand has unfortunately brought a lot of poor quality products to the market. The typical aloe vera liquids available in retail today are extremely weak, and most are damaged by heat and chemicals during processing. They're formulated with less of this low grade aloe vera, which which doubles the negative impact. This is my personal favorite Organic Aloe Vera Juice.

2.Read your labels carefully. Unfortunately the huge disparity in quality, efficacy, purity, and potency between all the different product brands of aloe vera is not always obvious. Read your labels and do your research. Make sure your products have a high Aloe Vera content.

3.Purchase organic aloe vera plants. Be sure you get plants that were organically grown, not genetically modified or treated with toxic chemical pesticides.

4.Grow your own. That way you can be sure of the organic cultivation, and they are attractive, too.

10 Tips for Healthy Natural Hair

10 Tips for Healthy Natural Hair

You can make your very own organic, natural hair products at home for a fraction of the cost of most product lines. It’s easy to create organic shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks right in your kitchen. Completely natural, non-toxic hair products offer hydration, nutrition and stimulation to the scalp and hair.

Here are some of my favorite tips for getting and keeping the best natural-looking healthy hair. I would love to hear all of your personal tips for healthy hair.

1. Make an Herbal Hair Mask

Combine 1 teaspoon of triphala powder with 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and a small amount of water until a paste is formed. Wet hair and apply paste to scalp and hair. Leave on for at least 20 minutes and rinse.

2. Use Natural Sesame Oil Conditioner

For dry hair, rub a small amount of organic sesame or olive oil on broken and split ends. Cover hair in a plastic bag or a shower cap and leave for at least 45 minutes, or up to overnight. Shampoo and rinse well.

3. Keep Hair Clean, Not “Over-Cleaned”

It’s important to have clean hair but over washing can leave hair brittle and void of natural lubricating oils. Wash hair every other day or every third day.

4. Don’t Drink Beer – Rinse With It!

Pre-shower, give your hair a rinse with 1/4 cup of flat organic, high-quality beer. Leave the beer in the hair for 15 minutes, then rinse with a natural shampoo as normal.

5. Try a Basic Baking Soda Wash

Simply giving your hair a weekly baking soda rinse will help rid the hair of the layers of chemical gels and environmental pollutants that can attach to the hair throughout the week. It also gives the hair a vibrant glossy feeling and may even lighten it. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda to your hair while doing your normal shampooing regime.

6. Try a Sandalwood Powder Hair Mask

Add 2 teaspoons of organic sandalwood powder to 3 tablespoons lime juice. An excellent cooling summer hair mask. You may also replace sandalwood with licorice powder, or combine both into a mix.

7. Use a Coconut Oil Conditioner

For dry and brittle hair, increase moisture by giving yourself a coconut hot oil treatment. Massage a small amount of warm coconut oil (organic and cold-pressed if possible), into scalp and through ends. Cover and let sit for at least 30 minutes, and then shampoo and rinse as normal. You may need to wash twice to get out all of the oil.

8. Use Essential Oil Remedies

Avoid harsh chemical sprays. Rosemary essential oil is an excellent de-tangler. Rub a few drop into your palms and then through damp, tangled hair. You can also put a little rosemary oil on your hair brush for de-tangling action.

9. Eat for Healthy Hair

Drinking purified water and eating a healthy, organic, plant-based diet helps healthy locks. Avoid processed foods with chemicals and preservatives that strip body and hair of healthy, natural glow.

10. Use a Castor Oil Deep Conditioner

For extra conditioning and healthier hair, add 2 teaspoons of castor oil to one egg white. Massage the oil-egg mixture into wet hair and scalp. Leave for at least 25 minutes before rinsing.

Switch to all natural hair care products. I use Max Green Alchemy and have great results. Doing a full body cleanse will also help improve the health of your hair.

How to Look Naturally Beautiful

How to Look Naturally Beautiful.

1 Eat healthy. Eat healthier things like fish and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can still eat other foods but lower on the intake of fat, sugar, and calories. Some foods have empty calories. Avoid them as much as possible. Try not to eat too much junk food such as potato chips, pizza, cookies, cakes, etc.

2 Consume healthy liquids: Make sure to take in plenty, i.e. 4-5 liters, of cool water (of course lessening the daily intake of alcohol is a huge help in getting that natural look). Water flushes away the toxins and gives your skin that natural glow. Avoid drinking caffeinated drinks.

3 Exfoliate your skin to waken it up and give you a healthy glow. Only exfoliate your skin once or twice a week, though. Over exfoliating can make you more prone to breakouts.

4 Smile. You'll reveal a new you. Avoid drinking Pepsi,Coke etc. They stain your teeth giving your smile a yellow look.

5 Moisturize your skin daily. This will keep your skin soft and will also keep your skin beautiful as you get older.

6 Skip the foundation unless you really, really need it. Heavy makeup hides true beauty! Work on your skin instead, applying coconut oil to your face before you turn in for the night will smooth and clear your skin tone plus it treats acne. Add some pink blush to the apples of your cheeks (smile when you're putting it on). Swipe on chapstick to your lips to keep them lush looking.

7 Wear clothes you feel good in, and that define your features. Try to avoid wearing clothes that do not flatter your figure. You don't need to religiously stick to every single fashion tip you come across (most are quite boring anyway) but do take the time to learn how to bring out the beauty of your unique figure.

8 Always keep your hair brushed. To keep it in place during the day, spray on a little leave-in conditioner. Keep your hair neatly groomed. Use organic shampoo and conditioner, and avoid anything with sulfates in it. To get rid of residue, occasionally add a little baking soda to your shampoo. Always wash your hair with warm to lukewarm water, never hot. Hot water strips off all the natural oils. Depending on the season, style it so that you are comfortable and your hair is protected from environmental hazards.

9 Get your eyebrows waxed (or pluck them yourself- but make sure you know how to do it correctly) to open up your eyes. But don't pluck them too much, over-plucked eyebrows can be just as bad as messy ones! Look up some guides on how to pick the right eyebrows for your face shape first, and if you're still not sure then go to a beautician and ask their advice.

10 Stand tall with great posture. Roll your shoulders a few times to feel where they should be. Keep your chin up. Keep your head balanced atop your shoulders, avoiding "forward-head posture."

11 Make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.

12 Get fresh air and exercise. Both will give you a healthy glow.

13 Have a healthy diet that includes fruit, vegetables, protein, and enough water. Don't starve yourself or try to force your body to be thinner than it naturally is; it won't work in the long run and you could end up with serious health problems.

14 Sun protection. When outside protect your skin with a sunscreen. make sure you apply the sun sunscreen at least 15 min before you step out into the sun

15 Brush your teeth and keep good dental hygiene to have a bright smile.

16 Be confident. If you don't feel confident, pretend that you are until you learn to really feel it. If you look confident, you will always be truly beautiful!

17Exercise regularly to maintain your fitness.

We can never see our own mistakes in our home as we are always surrounded by them and it is easy to have the blinkers on. Get real and take the time to walk around the house as though seeing it for the first time. Even get a friend to walk through with you and get them to point out all the bad things they notice. You need to have a tough skin and accept what they say, as buyers will only tell you the truth by walking the other way.

2. First impressions always count

As cliché as it sounds, as soon as the buyer walks through the front door what they see will leave a lasting imprint as what to expect for the rest of the home. Bring up the standard of presentation at the entry and make sure the rest of the house lives up to the expectations you have created.

3. De-clutter and storage

No one wants to see someone else’s mess, especially if you are walking into a place you want to see yourself living in. Put away unnecessary knick-knacks into boxes and clean out your cupboards. Yes, people will open the doors and they don’t want to catch what’s falling out of them! Take up short-term storage and pack away those extra boxes, bikes and furniture you don’t need. You want to give the illusion of more space, not how much you can cram into one area.

4. Photos

I hate the word de-personalise, as we all know some one lives in the house and we want the feeling of a warm inviting home environment. Minimise the family photos, especially the blown wedding picture staring at you from the bedroom. That makes people uncomfortable and feel like they are invading. Keep a small section of family photos to one area of the house only and arrange nearby other decorator items such as vases and flowers to take the focus off just staring at the people who live there.

5. Lighting

There is nothing worse than walking into a dark house - it gives a negative feeling as though you are creeping around. It might be just a case of new paintwork but if it is more than that put a few lamps around and keep them on during the day for openings. It not only provides extra lighting but gives a special ambiance to the room.

6. Paint

Nothing freshens up like a brand new paint job. If unsure what scheme to chose neutrals are always the best way to go. Soft whites, stone and yellows are the easiest to blend and co-ordinate with. But if you feel a need for colour, paint a whole bedroom or study area a different colour from the main rooms as a break in the neutral scheme. Putting in bright feature walls just for the sake of adding colour can more often be off-putting if not done to co-ordinate with the rest of the house.

7. Furniture Arrangement

We all know our own floor plan and how to move about the house, but bring strangers through in groups and they may be bumping into the furniture and only going away with bruises. You need to be aware of the walking traffic that will be going through your house on open days and move your furniture accordingly. Remove as many obstacles as possible from door entry/exits and be aware of large chunky furniture that may clutter up the room.

8. Hire Furniture

You might like the cushiness of your couch and the five beanbags your friends sit on for movie nights but this doesn’t mean best presentation. Consider reducing the amount of your own furniture and investing in some hire furniture to finish the house off. New and well-presented furniture give a fresh sense of life to the interior.

9. Maintenance

Keep an eye on the small jobs around the house that you never got around to. People notice the dodgy light fitting, the door that doesn’t close properly and fraying edges of carpet. It is fair to say a lot of people only finish their house when they are selling but it is essential to get these jobs done as no-one will take on other people's unfinished business.

10. Fragrance

We have all caught on to the fresh-baked bread and the coffee brewing to add a sense of ‘home’ to the interior but as smell is one of our heightened senses it still has a role to play. Fresh flowers not only give life and add a touch of romance to a place but scented flowers such as lilies and roses are subtle mood lifters when buyers walk by. It is easy to get accustomed to the smell of our beloved four-legged friends but buyers will smell the scent straight away. Have your carpets and rugs cleaned and ask them to put a scent in the cleaner. You may even consider to have the animals kept outside or away with friends for the duration of the campaign. This is a tough decision but the overwhelming smell of animals can be a major reason for the buyer to not consider your property
